Lime Gose with Limes, Kaffir Lime Leaves, Salt and Juniper
In celebration of friendship and wild imagination, we’ve partnered with Basque brewery Meta Edabeak to create an indefinable but unforgettable interpretation of Gose. The combination of salty freshness, sour limes and bananas, aromatic juniper and exotic notes of camphor leaves will bring you a whole new taste experience.
The Winter Affair collaboration batch brings a unique beer experience, and you’re in for a real wild ride in this beer! In collaboration with Meta Edabeak, a Basque brewery that specializes in wild fermentation and very authentic interpretations of farmhouse-style ales, we’ve created Fake Gose, which transcends the boundaries of the beer world with its unconventionality. This beer builds on a contrast of slightly sour and salty flavors that are enriched by notes of juniper, pureed roasted limes with exotic camphor leaves, and a touch of banana added by weizen yeast. Everything is balanced to make the beer fresh, unconventional and yet irresistibly drinkable. Join us for a taste of the unusual and be surprised at how far beer creativity can take us!

Can at Portcullis Tap. Hazy-opaque light gold. Thin white head. Aroma has light citrus sourness with a spicy edge. Flavourwise it's the same. Light-medium. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Fine.

Thin body, med-light carbonation. Light sourness, saltiness, zestiness. The flavourings form a nice blend, complex, elegant, with nothing poking out. Easy drinking, clean, with light lacto funk. Holding up well after half a year.

500ml can from Mitchell Wines Meadowhead - cloudy pale yellow with a short lived white top. Spruce, limes, bit of salt at the end. Very zesty and fresh, lots of herby aromatics. Really good freshener.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Very hazy pale yellow-golden body, qutie pale, white head.. Spicy aroma, lime, light juniper, vaguely funky but pleasant. Sweetish, lean taste, lime lime, herbal notes, quite spicy, lightly salty. Bit dull in the finish as salty beers can sometimes be, but quite nice overall!
