Alcohol is heavy in this, as would be expected by the 15% ABV, but it totally dominates the aroma and taste, sickly sweet malt and paint thinner hide in the background. Nasty

Bottle forced on others by me. Filtered light orange-tan body. No real head..oily residue. Disgusting vinous sweetness. Disturbing, horrendous beer. Putrid horror.

Sample: Courtesy Shrubber. Pours an odd, brandy/gasoline colour...like a thin lamp oil....no head. Aroma is...almond-tinted latex paint, honey and nuts. Taste is sweet peanut, honey, carmelized sugar.....boozy. Sweet, alcohol burn....though not as pronounced as expected.... Pretty rough, but not near as bad as the ratings portray it....I rather liked it...though I’m not sure why.

Bottle. Sweet boozy aroma which reminded me a bit of a whiskey toddy, and a bit of cardboard. Clear copper with no head. Sweet boozy malt and harsh alcohol flavor. Medium body, light carbonation, hot burn.

Bottle. Honey malt and alcohol aroma. Golden yellow with no head. Sweet honey, light malt, and cardboard flavor. More like cheap whiskey mixed with mineral water. Not horrible but pretty harsh.

Bottle courtesy of GT2, thanks (I think). Bright golden color, three tiny white bubbles in stead of a head. Aroma of acetone and airplane glue. Taste is very malty, strong, and my eyes burn while tipping the glass tow my lips. Good for cold winter nights, I suppose. Interesting.

10th rater, lets make this beer legit. 500mL bottle. I bought this as a joke for myself, a Barleywine Ale - Lager was just so fun. I poured the beer and fusel alcohol hits my nostrils. Malt liquor appearance, Aroma is sweet, sweet alcoholic malts. Flavor is sweet alcoholic corn that actually melds away rather quick. Its an alcoholic mess on the nose but straight syrup lager in the flavor. Three sips and I am done.

Twist off cap half liter, that was filled right to the firkin cap yielding a tiny ‘tsss’ upon opening, pours deep gold with 2 second long head. Ok, a quick whiff and quick sip, just to find out what is in store for meal, revealed a sense that this is a bit mead like. Hmmm? Ok 2nd, I think I’m drinking this while it is too warm. It needs to be near freezing. The aroma pummels the senses with various ’super’ sweet honey mead like notes and moving into off smelling ’super’ messy booziness and then even more ’super’ chemical mead like qualities. The taste is big and sweet and a bit prickly with carbonation and shoveling out ’super’ apple cedar like notes, ’super’ mead like notes and ’super’ boozy chemical train wreck like notes. I have no clue how I’m going to finish this half liter. I tell ya what, it would be very cool to include this in a blind mead tasting. It is very mead like.
