Rioja Barrel Aged Blueberry & Gooseberry Dark Sour.
A neutral beer aged away in a Rioja Barrel, which previously held a Bramble Barley Wine for two years, topped up with a ridiculous amount of gooseberry & blueberry, and allowed to have a mixed fermentation, then left to do its thing for well over a year.
The result is bracingly lactic tartness, atop red wine tannin-complexity, and mouth puckering real fruit zinginess.
