Deep, black and velvety, this one is all about roasty toastiness. The abundance of dark malts give the beer a lovely full roast character which gives way to a bitter chocolate and liquorice that pairs wonderfully with the delicate warm fruit of the hops.
Malts: Maris Otter, Oats, Chocolate, Amber, Black, Roasted Barley.
Hops: Magnum, Bramling Cross, Galaxy.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Near black in colour with a short-lived tan head and plenty of bubbles. Big, bitter chocolate and roasted malt aroma, with a hint of blackcurrant sweetness and orange peel. Full mouth feel with a slightly oily edge that coated the mouth with flavours of black coffee and dark fruits, leading to a dry, toasty finish. Excellent.
