This colossally hazy IPA has big juicy grapefruit bursts with hints of orange sherbet and ripe stone fruit flavors, all balanced by a touch of resinous terps from our pals at Abstrax.

As an IPA detester, I'm a little apprehensive about tasting the brew from this $2 bomb can. For the price, I'll mark it up as a tick, no enjoyment value added. Just remember, I rate for the enjoyment factor, not by style. First pour reveals a viscous dehydrated micturated appearance. This along with the alarming notorious old IPA volatile nose is quite concerning. First taste is, well, mouthcoating near cloying sweet and rotten grapefruit bitter. What a combination. One of the complaints I have about this impy IPA, and any impy IPA, is its pronounced over the top sweet laced excessive bitterness. The extreme hop content characterizes this beer as an emotional bitter bastard terpenes blast profile which I find totally unpalatable. Drain pour? No, I signed up for this savagely viscous session, and I shall endure and plow forward. Its simply a brutal experience akin to forcing a relationship to work that you know is doomed. I suggest this impy barbaric bitterness overshadow any potential enjoyment derived from other flavors present in this beer, such as its grapefruit character. The perception that impy IPAs are somehow superior to other beer styles, simply because they are more complex or challenging, is a notion of palatal machismo, just IMHO, an elitist attitude, a desire to showcase one’s ability to endure unpleasant flavors. There, you have the rant. You like impy IPA, put this on yer bucket list, if you have not tasted it already. I'll give this brew an additional 0.5 points just because I'm catching a little mental vacation as I near the end of the can.

Hazy dark gold pour with a small white head. Aaron's is grapefruit, pine. Initial taste is grapefruit, pine, sweet citrus. Fades to a very mild bitterness. Medium body and carbonation that bites just a bit. Nothing crazy. Enjoyable!

Hazy copper pour with a medium ivory white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of piney hop, grapefruit peel and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter citrusy hops up front and a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Are almost are lots of grapefruit and MJ with some malt. Flavors are similar to nose and on the sweet side. A little too sweet for me. Carbonation helps cut the sweet but not enough.

Can from Nugget Market in Woodland, CA. Pours slightly hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma suggests dank resin and guava. Med plus body. Juicy but not very sweet. Bitter for sure with dank resin, grapefruit, and a light touch of guava. Some melon. Excellent flavor.

12 oz. can from Publix. Pours a hazy deep gold color with a khaki head and very good retention. Good lacing. Grapefruit juice aroma. A little grapefruit flavor that's quickly washed away by the 9.0% ABV finish. For a hazy IPA, the flavor is more chemical versus juicy. Is that from the terpenes? Orange sherbert and stonefruit notes? No! At least the 65 IBUs are more hidden than I expected. Medium body. Oily texture. Medium-light carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Tick.

19.2 ounce tall boy can from Spirits Unlimited in Manahawken, NJ. Hazy orange gold pour. Fluffy white head. Aromas of dank citrus and pine. Notes of grapefruit, pineapple and apricot. Flavor mirrors nose. Dank citrus, juicy fruits and sticky pine. Remarkably smooth and easy-drinking for 9% ABV. Interesting.
