This colossally hazy IPA has big juicy grapefruit bursts with hints of orange sherbet and ripe stone fruit flavors, all balanced by a touch of resinous terps from our pals at Abstrax.

Gotta say, Lagunitas Maximus is my go-to IPA, usually available and a fine beer. Now I have the hazy version to try thanks to the people at Half Time. 12 oz can opened and going inside of my Cowtown snifter. I view a semi-hazy, amber-orange liquid that carries a decent head of completely white foam. The scent is citrus, hops and the promise of tropical fruit. I take a drink. Pineapple, subdued grapefruit, hops of course, melon and enough dankness to register, all nice. The sensation is one of fullness, rather dense, also nice. Significantly sweet, slightly bitter. Glad to have this one.

Very resinous and dank with a heavy orange marmalade undercurrent. Sweet, and the weed notes come on too strong, but quite drinkable for such a big beer.

Pours murky orange into a tulip. Bright white soapy head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing spots. Tangerine and lemon joy aromas. Medium bodied and sweet with peach and apricot ufront turning to dirty tropical fruit skin before the medium length hot tangerine finish.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Cloudy golden pour, one finger foamy white head. Fresh grapefruit hits the nose at opening, even from a distance. Really nice. Grapefruit in the taste, though not as bold as the aroma. Fresh grapefruit dominates with no sign of the ABV. Really tasty.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy orange gold with a finger of off-white foam that lingers. Big grapefruit terpenes on the nose with dank, punchy citrus and pithy zest as it warms. More fresh ruby red grapefruit juice notes on the palate but balanced out with some pith and dank notes. Balanced finish with some tropical punch. Surprised by this one actually.

Sample can from brewery rep. Aroma is packed! Notes of tangerine, pine, weed, guava, strawberry. Taste is pretty sweet with mild to moderate pithy bitterness. Aroma is far more impressive than flavor unfortunately, although it’s not bad. Tastes like a typical overly sweet TIPA.
