As the name suggests, we’ve used just one variety of hop in this pale golden ale. Brewed with just low colour Maris Otter malt and a little wheat for head retention, we’ve selected some of the more “interesting” hops and added several bucket loads to each brew. Currently we’re using Chinook, an American variety with lots of bitter grapefruity flavours.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 21/12/10. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of grapefruit, with some floral notes and a touch of sweetness. Flavour was dominated by more grapefruit, with some decent balancing malts and lengthy, dry finish. Good.
