Brutal bitter is a imperial bitter and one of the original hazy beers that dates back more than 20 years. Brewed and dry hopped with 100% Rogue Farms Alluvial hops that exhibit flavors and aromas of peach (no fruit added). The malt adds good structure, some nuttiness and provides a deep golden hue.

Pours a hazy orange color, topped with a medium off-white head, non-lasting. Mild fruity aroma, peachy with little resin presence. Malty backbone pretty noticeable, but still hop dominated IPA. Solid bitterness, some biscuity malty feel, sweet. Lasting aftertaste, pretty strong.

Bottle, 355 ml, courtesy of and shared with Miro. Pours hazy orange with white head. Caramel malty, hops, fruit, sweetish with some bitterness in the end. Expected more hops and bitterness, freshness could be the problem. Medium bodied.

Bottle: Deep golden with an orangey sheen, almost clear, bigger and very stable white lacy head; exotic-fruity and some herbal piney aromas in the nose, supported by a tinge of soy-sauce and sweet malt; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; medium bodied; lingering bitter-sweet finish with exotic-fruity and soy-saucy flavours. Nice...

Pours hazy amber with a frothy head. Aroma is very piney and resinous, loads of pacific hops in this one. Also rather refreshing feel to it. Flavour is dominated by bitter resin and pine, also some grapefruit. Some herbal flavours. Very bitter and extremely resinous aftertaste. Brutal for its use of pacific hops I guess. Nice.

Okay head, carbonated fruit juice body. Good heavy fruity hops aroma with sharp hints. Good hops notes, some nutty hints. Well balanced, drinkable, amongst the pack and you’d prolly drink it if you’re local but wouldn’t sell your house to go find the thing. (Yes - I’ve found beers like that. And I miss that house).
