Bottle. Sour wheat malt and lemon aroma. Tannish orange color - cloudy with moderate head. Slightly sour stale wheat flavor primarily - hints of lemon and banana. Decent body. Less sweet and fruity than some.

(Bottle 50 cl) 5,1% ABV in my version. Hazy orangey golden with a huge, tall, delicately creamy and rather lasting head. Fruity banana aroma. Soft, wheaty notes with a marked yeasty flavour. Fruity with a very soft mouthfeel and a rather dry finish. According to the back label this is brewed for Stiegl by Privatbrauerei Riegele in Bavaria, Germany. 151005

This is a new one for me. I have never encountered this brewery before. The bottle talks a good talk, but somewhere along the way the walk got tripped up. Sampled from the typical 16.9 oz bottle the beer poured an opaque dark grey-tan reminiscent of the usual Pennsylvania mud puddle. At least there was a creamy medium sized white head to go with this. Overall a rather ugly beer though. The scent was of sharp citrus tang and some wheat notes. The flavor was tangy and citrusy with a dark bready wheat flavor. There was a bit of bitterness on the finish. Overall the beer lacks any true complexity but thank heavens it at least tastes better than it looked. This was an ok wheat but certainly not one I would purchase again given how many better brews are available.

Very good aroma of citrus and malt. Not as cloudy as many of the style, but a very large and long lasting head. Flavors of citrus, sweet wheat and sour fruit. good.

Average gold with a small head that hold no retention. Lotsa cabonation. Not much of a smell, but what's there is mildy pleasant. Not a bad taste, but nothing really good either. Has a slightly metallic twinge, but it's pretty buried. Drinkable, but not really much there...
