On draught at Crafty Fox during the "Good Bugs Fermentation=Flavor GABF Event" on 10/04/2017. Dark brownish-amber color with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, malt and yeast. Medium to full body with flavors of cherry, earthy yeast and caramel malt. The finish is dark fruit and yeast. Above average overall.

375ml bottle - pours a dark purple - nose is moderate wood, some plum, turbinado sugar, cherries - well-masked alcohol - flavor is sweet but not cloying, with some bitterness and wood to temper it - dark fruit, some chocolate - lacks the yeast expression you'd expect, without any solid presence of any phenols that general add depth and complexity to this style, just a little pepper on the end - the end result, then is something kind of uninspiring, one-dimensional, and bland.
