Bottle. Pours a copper, clear body with an off-white head. The aroma has a pleasant fruityness, caramel, some roasted malt and a slightly sour touch. Roasted, fruity and a bit sour flavor, leading to a quite bitter finish. Medium body. Not sure if the sourness is intended, but the beer was not past BB-date. Both the sourness and the hop profile is unexpected from a dunkler bock, but I’m only deducting points for the sourness. Quite refreshing in a way, but mediocre. (080229)

Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light acidic sour with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. :o( (091007)

Draught at KØ07. Roasted chocolate aroma. Dark brown colour, very small creamy light brown head. The flavour is also roasted, a little earthy. Sweet roasted aftertaste. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Does not taste like it has a high ABV. 7 3 7 3 15 Bottle, 6.1%. Roasted, and buttery aroma, some rustic barnyard notes. Clear dark brown colour. Big, fairly stable, tan head. The flavour also has some butter and barnyard. Slightly citric. 6 3 6 3 14

(On tap) Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head. Very coffeeish aroma. Medium body with sweetish notes of roasted malt and a lightly burned edge. The finish is dry with a light bitterness. not a bad beer, but not really a Bock. 120507

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Very dark brown. Coffeish nose. Dryish, roasty and medium bodied. Lots of pleasant coffee flavour, notes of cocoa. Dryness gives drinkability. Good beer, but more schwarzbier than bock.
