Flip top 750 - slight gusher - dark ruby pour - thick tan lace - nose of doughy yeast, dark fruits (plum, raisin), cherry skins, light earth/oxidation, moderate Bordeaux notes, some oak and spice - there is a little bit of acetone and vinegar underneath it all, though - soft carbonation - medium body - fairly sweet up front, with some toffee, plum, currant - moderate dusty yeast, dough, and spice through the middle - medium sharp acid and moderate oak in the finish - some nice stuff happening, but itโs a bit messy - alcohol is well-masked, though - meh, itโs drinkable enough, I guess - however, this is the fourth beer I have had from this brewer, and three of the four have been unimpressive - I think Iโm close to writing them off.
