Sample at the brewery - medium amber beer - kind of amazing that all the color is from caramelized sugar rather than malts - this adds an interesting quality to the beer - initially, there is a fair amount of tartness in the flavor, with quite a bit of fruity esters - the middle has a lot of spicy character from the yeast, as well as a moderate toasty character - mildly floral - sweetness from the sugars arrives late, but it is very clean and balanced - hints of raisin and cherry in the finish - well-balanced - maybe a bit less sweetness and it would be awesome.
