The only info I was able to squeeze out of the bartender about this was that it was a "strong brown wheat" - the sweetness, flavor profile, and apparent alcohol content indicated to me that it was clearly a weizenbock - had a big plastic cup of this while I watched the Rockies totally fucking own the Cubs - very lightly hazy, medium reddish brown beer - fizzy, quickly diminishing head - quite sweet, with some bock-ish notes of raisin and caramel - only a mild wheaty tang and grainy character, suggesting that the malt bill is not quite as high on the wheat as it should have been - mild phenols in the form of subtle clove - sweet and semi-alcoholic finish - lacks the depth and complexity that a good weizenbock should have.
