The flagship beer is pale in colour with a subtle hint of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma. The wonderful hop bitterness is complemented by a balanced malt flavour. The beer has a long finish, which is moderately dry.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 2nd February 2013. Hazy amber with loose white diminishing foam head. Malty and spicy aroma. Crescendo of rich leafy and grassy hoppiness in liquid. Grassy finish, becoming bitter after numerous sips. Engaging texture, zingy and quenching.

Cask handpump at The William Cobbett and also at The Waverley Arms, Farnham, Saturday 10th March 2012 Light amber in appearance with a slight haze and a slim white head. Decently hoppy with a nice citrussy rush, predominantly lemon, touch dry at end. Good bittersweet beer, served just a tad warm at the William Cobbett. Enjoyable beer. A6 A3 T8 P3 Ov15 3.5

(Cask at White Horse on Parson’s Green) Sulphur, more sulphur and and let’s put a little bit sulphur on top. The beer was a bit off-putting at the beginning but then I got accustomed to the sulphurness. Otherwise this was quite like an ordinary bitter. I wouldn’t buy a full pint.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 7 Aug 2008) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus and earthy hops. Fruity, malty taste with a clean malt profile and generous amounts of citrussy, earthy hops in the finish. Very nice bitter.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, spices, some malts and nectar. Flavour is wood, sourness and some mild yeastyness. Boring and quite unpleasantly mixed things in this.
