A very nice mild. I had half a pint in the Oxford Road Tap while doing the CAMRA Mid Magic challenge.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham 19/11/22. New brewery for me. Near black, small black creamy beige head. Dark malts, chocolate, light coffee and dark fruit, bitter roasty finish. Smooth mouthfeel, subtle carbonation, slight drying. Very good mild.

Clear dark brown with a frothy/creamy tan head. Nutty nose with a hint of liquorice, smooth and semi-creamy with malt, coffee, nuts, liquorice and just a hint of bitterness going on

Cask at Swan & Railway, Wigan. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s alts and raisins in the aroma. Malts again to the fore in the mouth along with liquorice, treacle vand dark fruits. Some underlying bitterness as well. A decent old school mild.

Many thanks to Simontomlinson. Nice malty Ale beginning. Typical low bitterness, fruity dark. Easy to drink, caramel, malty but a bit thin finish. Nice.

Third, shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Coast To Coast Bar. Pitch black in the glass, dissipating beige head, rings of lace down the grass. Moderate smell of bread and chocolate. Mixed taste of liquorice and dark bread. Roasted malt-driven, short end. Easy to drink. Decent mild. (Third day of the festival, 24.01.2020).
