Malty, roasted taste with coffee (with milk) and chocolate. Slightly below medium body, creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Nice and well balanced mild.

Cask, gravity dispense at Merton Summer Beer Festival July 18th and 19th 2008 The last beer to sell out but that is in no way a slight on this beers quality, once again the golden beers were hammered first, anyway back to the rating. Tasty but quite simple mild dark brown in colour, some chocolatey sweetness, coffee bringing up the rear, its fine.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 08. Dark ruby with lasting bubbly beige head. Mild aroma, some choc. Rather a nice dark mild aroma. Bit of tarryness. Decent in mouth, some dark fruits, a little choc powder. Good dark mild with a good fruit/choc mix. I can see why it gets some solid scores.
