Brewed using a single hop variety, which changes every month or so, our Single Hop range has gained a bit of a following. We add plenty of crystal malt and a small amount of chocolate malt to a hot mash to give a full bodied copper coloured base with a slight roast malt flavour. Several generous hop additions during the boil create a beer that allows the character of each hop variety to shine through.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 18/7/08. Copper coloured with a decent off-white head. Aroma was dominated by smokey malt, more ash-like than roasted, with some accompanying red fruit. Flavour started sweet, with some more ash and a long, dry finish. Unusual.
