Sample at the taproom. Clear golden color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Smoky and fruity aroma with a touch of hops in the background. Light-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, fruity yeast and mild earthy hops. The finish is clean and fruity with a subtle smoky aftertaste. Decent overall.

10 ounce at the brewery - clear dark gold - richly smoky nose - fairly creamy texture - lightly toasty maltiness - moderate bitterness - moderate smoke - mostly clean, but has a slight underlying sourness that lessens the enjoyment a bit.
