Pours a murky brown with an off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, banana, raisins, plum, vanilla. Slight sour notes in the aftertaste. Interesting and tasty brew.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a hazy red-brown colour with nice sized beige head. Aroma of wheat, clove, banana, sweet toffee, raisin. Taste of toffee, clove, light smoke, banana, port. Medium to full bodied, getting towards a sipping beer but its not sticky. Low to fine carbonation with a nice bitter kick. Its certainly a good beer with reasonable complexity. This is only my second Weizenbock and I believe this is slightly better than the Erdinger Pikantus which I have also had. Although this is ranked the top beer in the style, I'm convinced there is a better one out there so I will keep an eye out for any more in this style.
