Bottle (shared) at Ebenezers, Nantwich (though I have drunk it in the past on several occasions). Pours a cloudy dark reddish-brown with a sizeable cream head and good lacing. Aroma isn’t that strong but there’s bubblegum and cloves in it. Cloves and bananas to the fore in the mouth, alongside wheat malts and figs, plus hints of dark fruits and toffee. Alcohol is well hidden but the finish is slightly boozy – this is rather lovely !

Dark brown color with low beige head. Aroma: banana, clove, fruity bubblegum, toffee, light caramel. Taste: toffee, toasted bread, banana and clove in the end, dryish, dark fruit, creamy and silky on the palate, ABV well integrated. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, low to moderate bitterness. Deep, complex, great.
