Very dark ruby ale brewed using 6 different malts including chocolate malts, black malts and roasted barley. Generously hopped with a mix of Columbus, Cascade, Galaxy and Green Bullet. Flavours reminiscent of bitter chocolate, fruitcake and raisins, with beautiful aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and burnt toast. A beast of a brew!

Love a good BIPA. This is a very good BIPA. Got that nice roast malt flavour, leading into a hoppy, bitter finish.

0,44 boks fra Clapton Craft, hjemme: nesten helt svart med forbilledlig cremeskum. Deilig, mørk maltsmak, like mørke (bitter)sjokolader, ristet mørkt brød og furunål. Heftig bitterhet i den knusktørre avslutningen.

Can at home. Perfect pour and a classic black ipa. It was black ipa that got me into craft beer many years ago and I still love it, even if it's no longer the in thing. Anyway, this was very good. Big malt and big hops with a great kick of alcohol. Lovely.

440ml can. Pours almost black with a frothy tan head. Aroma of pine and dark chocolate, roast malts. Taste starts with a big hoppy hit, pine, citrus peel, some fruity berry notes, solid malt backbone of dark chocolate, roast/coffee, liquorice, moderate-strong bitterness. Full bodied, much thicker than I expected for the strength. An excellent BIPA. Wild that they've been brewing this since 1996. 28 years of BIPA! Have to imagine it was one of the first ever in the UK and it's tasting exceptional still to this day. Really impressive.
