Tulip at the brewery - a tripel with American hops and lemons? - what could possibly go wrong? - pours a hazy gold - nose is actually fairly nice - clean pils malt and fairly expressive yeast character - moderate esters and some spicy phenols, with no detectable lemon - flavor has similar characteristics - a little sweet, but a decent eater profile and a semi- dry and moderately spicy finish - however, the lemon comes through in the flavor and is a bit acidic and bitter, sharp - this makes it much harder for me to enjoy - just make it without adding the damn lemons.
