Notably hoppy ale which is light to medium-bodied, clean-tasting, refreshingly dry, with a balancing sweetness. Citrus, pale malt aroma and dry, bitter finish. Consistent. Amber gold in colour.

Renamed from Bellringer to Bath Bellringer sometime between 08/07/2017 and 25/07/2018

50cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear orange copper color, looks like applejuice. Not much aroma other than malts. Taste malts, lightly buttery, lightly fruity, bitter. Low to medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle @ home thx to Benzai. Golden applejuice colour with a.minimal white head. Smells applejuice, malts, some wood. Tastes malty, watery, tad bit sour, dry, bitter in a not pleasant way. Thin body, soft carbo.

500ml bottle, best before Dec 2012: poured into a UK pint sleeve on 16 July 2012. Mid-golden body, clear and clean: good white blanket of foaming bubbles on top. More hops than malts: the nose and taste majoring on semi-citrus hop flavours. Bitter-sweet really in the mouth with the bitterness winning in every sip especially towards the end as the mouth dries. Did it ring my bell? Yes, one of the better hoppy brews out there (IMHO).

2022 rating. 500mL bottle, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a little caramel, and some butterscotch. Flavour is dry and biscuity, with dry toasted bready malt and a hint of caramel. Pleasant mouthfeel, with a dry, English malt finish. Better than I remember from 11 years ago. 2011 rating. On tap, pours bronze. Aroma and flavour of biscuity malts, light toast and lightly bitter hops. Not too thrilling.

Cask (Helsinki Beer Festival 2009) - Gold/amber in colour. Malty and ever so slightly citric aroma. Malty and slightly fruity taste with hints of grain. Cask (Bell, Bath) Enjoyed it more here. A nicely balanced bitter.
