Tap at the brewery - I’ve been curious about this coffee before I even knew of this beer - Corvus Roasters in Denver apparently aged green coffee beans in bourbon barrels before roasting them - I am fairly certain it was just a gimmicky excuse for charging 30 bucks for 12 ounces of coffee beans (yes, that’s how much they’re charging) - anyway, from my experience with this beer, I’m pretty sure I don’t need to try the coffee - there is an odd sourness to it - not strong, but present enough to be distracting - bourbon flavor is minimally present - some sweet notes of vanilla - like their Sumatran coffee stout, the coffee covers up some of the more lively flavors of the base beer, leaving the overall product a little muddled - cool experiment, though...I guess.
