Sample at Falling Rock. Hazy straw color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Grassy aroma with notes of fruit and yeast. Light to medium body with flavors of peppery yeast, fruit and wheat. The finish is mildly funky with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at Stapleton Tap House - turbid gold pour with a thick, frothy head - actually looks pretty nice - nose is fairly phenolic and estery (clove, banana, white pepper) - some strong yeasty and wheaty character - smells like a hefe/saison hybrid - mouthfeel is kind of thick, sludgy, and yeasty - flavor is fairly sweet, with banana, overripe apple - moderate acidic bite and tartness through the middle - light bitterness late, along with a sort of cream of wheat flavor (which the mouthfeel helps create an odd sensation/association) - finish of creamed peaches - like many TRVE beers, it’s kind of meh, with slight off flavors.
