True Roots Harvest Ale

Tap at Diebolt - turbid orange pour - nose of moderate earthy smoke character (must be some smoked malt in here), lightly sweet squash, mild earthy bitterness - the squash adds a nice heft to the body, as well as a fair amount of sweetness, but none of the off-putting vegetal notes you can often get by adding squash to beer - the hops are subdued and mellow, but do add a slight herbal bitterness to offset the sweetness - smoke adds its gentle woody earthiness to the brew - quite nice - seems like they were going for autumn in a glass, and they nailed it.
