(This was originally a pilot batch, but they have since brewed it on their large system and lagered it for a couple months - the result is an even better product than the pilot batch - very smooth.texture - lovely toasty malt, green raisin, grape must - dusty yeast - lovely rendition - original rqting 3.5) hazy gold - nose of clean, honeyed maltiness and light rustic/grass notes - flavor is fairly honey sweet up front, but it is clean rather than heavy or sticky - very smooth, almost lager-like texture (could this beer a bdg that is actually lagered?) - light floral flavors, moderate bitterness, and a dry mineral bite on the tail end to balance the sweetness - a little apparent alcohol in the finish, and a little sweet for my taste, but a pretty solid attempt.
