Tap at Haarlem Bierfestival: Opaque black excellent brew with an good taste of roasted malts and hints of coffee, chocolate and blueberry.

From bottle @ BBF 2011. Deep dark brown color. Ashy aroma with soy sauce. Peaty ashy flavor, blowing away all malt and chocolate notes. oaky with tobacco. Good, but not optimally balanced..

Bottle, bb date of 2013. Black oily pour. Aroma of peat, smoke, chocolate, coffee, ashy licorice and caramel. Taste has strong peat, molasses, chocolate, smoke, tarr, bitter licorice, caramel and bitter coffee. Holds up well after all these years, very good.

Old bottle from my cellar. Pitch black colour, creamy brown foam. Nose of roasted malts, coffee chocolate. Syrupy. Light sweet, lots of peat. Very nice imperial stout!

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis about 4 years old. Thin ring tan head. Clear black pour. Peaty aroma. Peaty chocolate aftertaste. It’s matured nicely!

Bottled. Near black, beige head. Sugar, peat, coffee and licorice up front. Very sweet with full body and rounded, syrupy mouthfeel. Sugar and peat, molasses and syrup. Warming finish. Heavy and filled with sugar.

Pours pitch black, nice head. This brew is truly full of peat smoke. Alcohol sticks it to your nose like whiskey. Taste is incredibly peaty as well, peat smoke from the beginning to the end. Taste lingers for long. Very strong taste, actually quite sweet body, has also decent amount of hops and herbs. Really massive über-drink.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein tiefschwarzes Bier mit schöner bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch rauchig, holzig, stark röstmalzig, Kaffee, alkoholisch. Geschmack stark röstmalzig, schwarzer Kaffee, holzig, leicht säuerlich.

Doskonaly imperialny stout. Czuc aromat whisky z daktylami i innymi suszonymi owocami. Finisz dlugi, przyjemnie alkoholowo rozgrzewajacy. Piwo ciezkie i syte geste smoliste i piekielnie wytrawne. Lepsza moim zdaniem ta wersja od podstawowej.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy aroma. Strong nice peated notes. Heavy bitter wonderfull peated and chocolate flavor. Long great finish. Excellent creamy palate. World class brew.
