50cl bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. A murky golden pour with a billowing cream head; grainy malt aroma; refershing zingy taste, but lacking any real body, just a weak grainy feel; leaving a dry biscuity finish, with a trace of gingery bitterness from the Goldings.

Cask handpull at The Wenlock. I had 2 halves of this just to make sure. Slightly hazy gold, thin white head. Like a golden bitter with subtle tasty hops on finish. Very drinkable, very nice hops and something that draws me to it. No great complexity, but good drinkability.

Cask-conditioned at The Wenlock, London, 1/8/08. Slightly cloudy gold in colour with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of hay with a hint of spice. Flavour started with a touch of summer fruit, before some floral hops and a short dry finish. Ok.

Small thin white head does not last. Slightly hazy yellow body. Malty medicinal aroma with golden hoppy notes. Dry papery medicinal malty taste with floral hoppy notes. Light body. Dry powerfully papery hoppy resiny aftertaste. Not bad, but definitely not a great beer. (0.5l bottle, City Beverage Co, London.)

Cask, Duke of Cambridge, Islington. Really underwhelmed by this. Very bland and lacking any real aroma or flavour of note. Was expecting something a lot more hoppy, and it just didn’t materialise.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 6 Aug 2007) Yellow colour with green tinges, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and grassy hops. Fruity taste with lemon, grassy and citrussy hops in the finish. Not really complex, but still rather nice.
