A very pale, effervescent, highly refreshing, low alcohol, kettle-soured, unfiltered, cloudy wheat beer with restrained lemony tartness. The style is Berliner Weisse, one of the most purely refreshing styles of beer. We called it Solar Sour because we first brewed it on the day of a solar eclipse - 20th March 2015.

Keg @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Dishwater-yellow with a thin head. Not too sour, thereโs a considerable hop available in its taste.

0,33l bottle at home. BB 06/2017. light yellow very murky color, small white head. smells citric, leathery, some funk, herbs. decent smell. light body, bubbly carbonation, watery mouthfeel. tastes quite light, white wine notes, citric, lightly flowery, light leathery. finishes lightly sour with notes of green apples and white wine notes. overall good, but rather light taste and smell.

Bottle from FreshFields Market Croydonia. It pours hazy pale yellow with a decent frothy white head. The aroma is earthy, funky, cracker, wheat, straw and some graininess. The taste is crisp and tart upfront, plenty of lactic acidity, natural yoghurt, bright lemon, pithy citrus, white grape skin, gooseberry, straw, slight graininess and earth with a drying finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Refreshing stuff. Decent fro the style.

Draft at IMBC 2015 courtesy of RichTheVillan, thank you sir! Hazy to cloudy yellow color. Aroma is grassy, peppery, lightly funky. Taste is tart and grassy. OK.

Tap. North Bar, Leeds. Cloudy lemonade colour. Halo of white. Light lemon. Piss. Grain. Taste is dry, and very light tart. Taste is light dry. Finishes short, and lightly acetic. Low key.
