Cask @ County Hotel, Peebles
Golden amber, clear, tight white head, some lacing
Aroma - sweet honey malts, slight barley sugar, touch vegetal, slight hay
Taste - sweet sickly malts, rubber, plastic, soft orange malts, background of bitter hops, poor flavour, not good, could only manage 1/4 pint
Palate - soft carb, medium body, quite viscous. Finish is dry, sweet sickly malts, cereal, more of that plastic and rubber, touch metallic
Overall - No wonder it has a ratebeer score of 18. At the cost of a pint these days, no-one should be brewing and selling rubbish like this.

On tap (in the suburbs of Inverness): Deep golden, small layer; delicate fruity (lemons, oranges) and malty nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet taste; some citrousy traces in the bitter and tart finish. O.K., unspectacular........
