HPA is an easy-going real ale that brings people together. Our brewers have let locally grown Target and Celeia hops hang out with Maris Otter pale malt to give this understated brew its pale straw colour, citrus hop aroma and a balanced bitter finish.

Rerate Oct 2018 at the British Oak Stirchley. Much improved taste and aroma, the sulphur has mostly gone and it's a lot cleaner. 3.2, average now 2.9. ------------------------- Cask at the Black Horse, Bridgnorth. Light gold with a full and proud white head. Sulphurous aroma with a suggestion of lemon and grain. Taste is sulphurous, bittersweet with that eggy aftertaste. Refreshing enough but it doesnโt taste particularly good. Far too Burton-y. 2.6

Cask at Sacks of Potatoes, Birmingham on 28th December 2013. Pale gold with white foam. Fresh hoppy fruity aroma. Crisp hoppiness in-mouth with fruity citrus. Finish is fruity and citrussy on a zingy, light-bodied mouthfeel.

Cask at the Barrels, Hefeford, 17/10/13. Clear light golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is citrus forward, toasted malts, lemon rind, grass. Taste comprises floral hop notes, lemon rind, citrus, toasted malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light grass in the finish with a touch of bitterness. Ok GB affair.

Cask @ Railway Inn, Welllington, UK. Clear yellow-blonde, hoppy, creamy head, session ale with a light dryness to it. Bottle in 2013. Pale yellow ale with a head around the edge of the glass. It has a light hoppy aroma and similarly a light texture with some malts evident too.

Taste - soft citrus, lemon, sweet pale malts, very simple, bit boring to be honest
Palate - Thin body. Finish as main flavour, very soft lemon meringue pie finish

Pale blond color. The aroma has a light countryside, manure touch. Smooth and light mouthfeel, with a very light citrusy and refreshing note; the bitterness is medium low.

Cask at the Crabmill in Bromsgrove. Not a bad pint but far from being my favourite pale ale. It's not overly hopped, has little aroma and no aftertaste of note. A pale ale thats a little too pale for my liking! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
