Cask at the Stratford Alehouse. Pours black with thin beige head. Notes of roast, dark chocolate, liquorice, light smokiness, some sweetness. Mid bodied and not overly heavy considering the slight richness. Decent depth. Good.

Cask, half pint. @Devonshire Arms, Cambridge (UK). 15/02/2023 [#5.810 Global - #596 England - #1 Milton Brewery (My english brewery #179)] Pours very dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma,: mild roasted malts and some smoked meat. Taste: smoked malts, dark chocolate and burnt caramel. Light watery smoked mouthfeel. Next one please!

Barman's choice at Devonshire Arms. Very dark maroon brown color, few bubbles. Soft roast aroma. Taste has lightly earthy coffee and dark unsweetened cocoa, subtle vanilla, light body. Decent.

Fra gravicask på The 24th Carmarthon Beer Festival. Svart. Lavt luftig skum med litt farge. God aroma av røstet malt & sjokolade. Smaken lakris. Behagelig tørr ettersmak. Kakao.

Cask @ Gallows bird. Poured near black with a thin off white head. milk chocolate, roasted malt, sweetness in aroma. Milk chocolate sweetness, caramel, toffee. Light, quite sweet overall.

Cask at Alfred Free House, Upper Hale, 16/03/17. Surprisingly muted aroma - a vague dark fruitiness. Dark and oil-esque. Thin beige head. Light bitter. Gradually develops a mocha sweetness. Vanilla. Soft carbonation. Creamy but too watery IMO. Long coffee finish. OK, but somewhat muddy and too low key.
