The brewery’s flagship beer. Well rounded, ruby red ale with a distinctive, tight creamy head. A good balance of malt, hops and bitterness.

Cask conditioned at the Aidensfield Arms, Goathland. Copper coloured. Fruity (blackcurrants) and relatively malty aroma and flavour. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice.

Cask at County Hotel JDW, Ashford Perfectly acceptable red ale. Slight roasted malt flavour, some fruit, some hop. Not worth the other half though

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2004] A brown beer with a small yellow head. It has no aroma while the flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and a thin body. A boring beer.
