Backlog March 2009. Amber body under a nice beige head. Aroma is malty with raisins and caramel. Taste is sweet malt with dry fruit, brown sugar and alcohol. Medium body with a harsh aftertaste. A bit promising start, but this was not a god beer.

Bottle, 7.1%. Unclean fruit and yeast aroma. Hazy dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is OK roasted, but not very clean. Rough graininess in the finish.

Bottle. I avoided pouring the sediments, the beer presents itselves with a translucent, copper body and an off-white excuse for a head. There’s just enough bubbles to cover half of the surface. The nose is quite sweetish, with evident hay aroma and some roast. It is so thin, it’s almost like drinking water, and the flavor isn’t much to brag about either. There’s some roast and notes of coffee, and it is sweetish with a little sour note and a bitterness towards the end. Drainpour. Rating: 3-2-3-1-6-1.5. (071019)

Bottle. A clear, deep golden beer with a small, off-white head. Some alcohol notes in the aroma, along with some caramel, hops and dried fruits. Alcohol in the flavor too, without the beer feeling warm. Quite bitter flavor with caramel and some fruity notes. Medium to full-bodied and quite dry. Bitterness in the finish. Decent, nothing more, and this time it was drinkable. (090327)
