12 oz. bottle. Pours gold with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is citrus, floral, and pine hops, hay, and caramel malts. The flavor is sweet, with a subdued but pleasant bitterness. The palate is light to medium, fairly carbonated, and crisp. Overall, this is a straightforward and reasonably tasty ale.

I picked this up at Woodman’s in Carpentersville, IL; enjoyed on Thanksgiving with my family. Appearance cloudy gold with a prominent, frothy head. Aroma some citrus hops and malts, kinda smells like a lager. Taste is unique, has a crisp lager finish with a touch of lemon. A tad more carbonated than what I would prefer, not a bad brew but not particularly outstanding, just standard.

Bottle in a box from an inexpensive grocery store. Pours a light golden amber with a slight foamy off-white head. Dusty floral hop aroma. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is floral hop over somewhat toasted malt. Not quit an APA. So English it is. Finishes floral/fruity/bitter. Quite drinkable.

12oz bottle drank from the official glass. Thin tan-orange body with a thin, oily head. Minimal fresh non-aroma. Does have certain English characteristics. Mellow toasty malt tones, a solid, but restrained English hop bill. Easy drinking, sessionable beer. Pretty bland and one-dimensional.

Purchased in Nashville in a mix 12-pack of Samuel Adams. Pours a golden colour with a hue of orange. Its head is creamy-frothy, mildly off-white, with good retention and decent lacing. Thick patches coat the brew for a while and carbonation is pretty full. The nose is light with malt and notes of citrus. Hop is in the taste, but not in a bitter way, but more in the flavour itself. A little sweet malt is felt as well. Crisp mouthfeel, but thick. I assume that Sam Adams is going for the popular market with this one, being inoffensive, but still delivering a better than average pale ale.

Pours clear dark golden color with white head. Sweet malty aroma with grassy hops. Lightly sweet malty flavor with mild hop bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. A pretty average pale ale. Pours light amber with a soft, white head. Light, grassy hop aroma. Flavor starts with light sweetness, then becomes earthy and grassy with faint fruitiness. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Finishes short, with modest bitters.

Hmmm...kind of a lame-ass pale ale - quite a bit of skunky east kent in the nose and flavor - chalky texture - semi-dry malts - a bit of floral character - meh.
