Tap @ Brewpub. Hazy light brown color, short off-white head. Aroma of sweet wood (what’s in a name), some milk chocolate. Light belgian double taste, with sweet chocolat overwhelming together with the sweet wood. Quite odd taste, so that’s why it’s not really popular (looking at the ratings), but I quite liked it actually.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy amber color; creamy head; beautiful lace. Soft, sweet aroma; caramel; dirty water. Soft texture, some sweetness, malt and caramel, dusty. Strange, not very well done.

(On tap) Very unclear, nutty brown with a small, off-white head - this is what I usually refers to as the chinese river water look. Aroma of coffee and nuts. Medium body with a distinct sweetness from roasted malt and brown sugar. No bitterness. 140407

Cask. A muddy brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is very sweet malty with notes of brown sugar and licorice. The flavor is sweet with notes of brown sugar, spices - especially cloves, licorice, as well as a light alcohol burn towards the end, which is dry and spicy. Very interesting - I would really like to know how this ages with the high sweetness and complexity I think it will age well.
