A reddish brown bock with a thick collapsing moka head. In aroma, a nutty malt, with light solvent esters, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet nutty malt with light peated notes, light alcohol, a bit woody, quite nice. Hey, not too shabby for a Greenland beer!

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with faint notes of wheat but a touch of caramel, cloves and shy banana-fruity notes and alcohol in the background. Sweet flavour with a light bitter edge, medium bodied with a very smooth mouthfeel. Toast-malty base with a light wheat-character, caramel and a whiff of banana; alcohol and phenolic spices are getting quite present towards the shy fruity finish. Extremely smooth brew that lacks balance and fruit-character. 24.IX.07

500 ml bottle. Amber body with a light off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and a bit spicy. Flavor is sweet malty, spicy, yeast and a hint of caramel. Perfectly drinkable, but a bit one dimensional.

Test vom 27.9.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,9,8,11,9 - 8,95

Bottle. Sweet prune and wheat malt aroma - moderate astringent alcohol. Clear reddish brown with small head. Sweet raisin, wheat malt, and moderate alcohol astringency. More bock-like. A nice beer.

Bottled(500ml). – Gift from Papsoe and Ungstrup at RBESG2008 Grand Tasting, huge thanks!
I finally managed to try Greenland beer after the same beer has brooke last year somewhere on the way from Denmark to Croatia. Ruby red coloured, medium sized pale beige head, pleasant fruity malty nose. Sweet malty, surprisingly fruity and light caramel taste with notes of green apples in the aftertaste. Decent bock.

A huge thanks to Papsoe and Ungstrup for giving this to us! Poured a nice deep red body with a big thick, creamy off white head. Fruity (red fruit) malty nose. Somewhat sweet light fruity malty taste, some light chalky-dry acidity. Tasty in a way, no alcohol anywhere!

Bottle. Clear, deep copper body with an off-white head. Fruity and estery nose, with caramel and some cellary notes. A bit boring flavor, with caramel and fruit, some nuttyness and a weak sour note. Medium to full body, and a sweetish finish with caramel and some hops. A pity the flavor isn’t at the same level as the aroma, but on the other hand, they don’t differ that much. (070809)

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, mid-sized lacing off-white head, shy fruity nose, distinctive caramelly and roast-malty traces; distinctive sweet-bitter flavour, mediumbodied; fruity caramelly, slightly phenolic finish with a faint roast-malty touch. Not bad, but not moreish............
