33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy, light brown to orange and with a huge white head. Mildly sweet aroma with a nice hoppy bitternote appearing. Flavour holds a nice caramel malt with a nice smoothness. Lingering into a mild finish with a soft bitterness which gains more strength to a more solid bitterness in the far finish. Almost fullbodied and smooth brew. Doesn’t show any spices but has a nice Christmas feel to it.

(Bottle 33 cl) Thisted produces no less than 3 different Christmas beers of which this is the "light" version. Very dark golden with a creamy head and a fantastic aroma of caramel malt. Very full body and also some light caramellish flavours - not really any sweetness though, this is all drowned by a pronounced bitterness. A very well-crafted beer. 101299

[Keg] Amber color. A bitter ale, poor aroma, too weak body, strong hopping, good final. Drinkable but not interesting nor original.

A light amber beer with next to no head. It has a slightly sour aroma with notes of malt sweetness. The sourness probably comes from the corn it is brewed on. The flavor is dominated by sourness from the corn, with a little sweetness to go with it. In the middle it is quite fresh, but then it ends on a watery note containing only a bit bitterness - though it lingers.

A pleasant Danish Christmas brew, sampled in June(!). Goes very well with the traditional Danish Christmas dinner, roast duck and pickled red cabbage (which I also had in June!). Related to Norwegian Christmas brews, but slightly less spicy. Nice caramelly sweetness, not too much.
Rerate Dec. 2002: Amber/golden colour, moderate head. Light bodied, distinct bitterness that balances the sweetness quite well. Next: their stronger Julebryg.
