Tap @MBCC 2025, Red Session. Black, beige head. Caramely, hoppy roasted aroma. Sweet roasted malt flavour, caramely, not sure about the truffles.

Bottled 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate and light alcohol in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, light soy sauce and discreet truffles with some alcohol in the finish. Surprisingly not so sweet.

Med-full body, med carbo. Med-high roasty bitterness, medium sweetness. Medium chocolatey, med-light coffeeish malt. Med-light truffles, light soy sauce. Not overly complex, just enough to keep it reasonably full while maintaining good drinkability.

dark brown, small smooth brown head.
aroma is sweet nuts, chocolate, buttered toasted rye bread, faint smoked notes. very complex but almost more like a brown ale or vienna or even a quad, than a porter or stout. especially the rye like sweetness and the sweet nuts stand out. pretty awesome aroma though. Flavor is stoutish though, roasted malts, bit of dark caramel, some chocolate, bitter roasted malty and bitter caramelly ending.

Nose is dark chocolate shavings, roasted tones, umami, earthy.
Taste comprises chocolate, bitter roasts, charr, dried fruit rinds, earthy, umami.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light kiss of alcohol.
Tidy sipper.

Bottle picked up from Bierkiste München and consumed in Frank at Studentenstadt P&R Thursday 17th July 2025. Pours pitch black with a small tan head, Loz said (without knowing what it was) said that it smells and tastes really beefy, also said there are copper coins as well, she's got a very good point, it does, it's quite robust, a little earthy and yea there's a beefy edge to this, those truffles have really left their mark. I like this, Loz isn't a fan, it's not overly sweet, nothing artificial, it's good.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. Imperial stout, ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of malts (roast malts and lighter malt varieties), chocolate and truffles. Flavour with the same elements, also notes of coffee and liquorice, fairly distinct bittering hops in the finish.
