Bottle. Clear, copper body with a nice and dense beige head. Caramel and some not-to-pleasant hops makes the aroma. The flavor is malty and sweet, with citrusy hops that follows you until the very end. There’s sweetness as well in the finish. Medium body. Quite nice, but not my Christmas beer. (070427)

Bottled. A dark amber beer with an enourmous bubbly orange head due to a high level of carbonation. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel, nuts, and yeast. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, nuts, yeast, metal, herbs, and some spices, leading to a dry slightly sour end. Braunstein can do much better than this.

Draught. Clear chestnut colour. OK malty flavour, a bit sugary. Quite drinkable, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Orange amber with little white fast disappearing head. Aroma of malts (pilsner & caramel) & hops. Orange & spices. Light taste. Medium to watery body. Light citric & metallic. Easy warmth and a short finish. Disappointment! Rerate nov 08 as næsgaarden jul:: Overall sweet malty caramel with a fruity touch of berries. A notch up!

2007-11-01, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 7-3-5-2-12=29
amber color, some aroma of malt, cereals, hop, quite nice. Normal body strength, caramel flavor, quite boring.
2006-11-17, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 6-4-7-3-14=34
Nice clean amber color; nice creamy head. Quite malty Bock, the body is not too thick, and the bitternessis correct. Not bad, easy to drink.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Week malty and hoppy aroma. Strange harsh moderate bitter flavor. Very watery palate. Terrible beer comparing price.
