300ml on tap at Apollo. Beige head over an amber coloured body with great clarity. Spicy and fruity in aroma. Growing yuletide flavours of almond, anise and marzipan. Hints of yeast and alcohol shine through towards the end. Too sweet for more than one glass at the time (12.01.2007).

Draught at the brewpub; brewed with Tonka beans
Golden color. The Tonka beans leave no clear trace, but some bread aroma. Medium body, quite good malt, in the background there is some good hop (German style) and some special taste (between nuts and fruits) that I admit being the Tonka-stuff. Original, good and interesting.

(On tap) Clear, amber golden with a creamy white head leaving laces. Odd soapy aroma. Medium body with strange notes of soap and marcipan - very almondish. A dry, hoppy finish. The almond is scaringly well hidden. Appears OK as a Christmas beer. 241106

Draught at Sct. Clemens. Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Nice hoppy and malty aroma. Slightly yeasty. Light bitter flavor. Slightly soapy (from the yeast) but it fades away and a heavy bitter finish apears. Oily palate.

A hazy orange beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy combined with notes of yeast and fruit. The flavor is sweet with a strong quite special spicy note - not bad, but quite special, combined with notes of fruit. The end is dry and very bitter with a slight acidity. I think the special spicy note must be from the Tonka beans used.
