When we were asked to brew the official beer of Decibel Magazine's Metal & Beer Fest, we knew it had to be black enough for an extreme metal festival and crushable enough to sustain hours of headbanging. Thus Infinite Eclipse, Weyerbacher's first Blackened American Stout, was born.
Some stouts tend to be fruity - this is not one of them. We balanced an intense amount of roast with a semi-sweet and full bodied mouthfeel, and rounded it out at a drinkable 7.0% ABV. See you down in front.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left great lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with cola and dark fruits. The flavor was bitter with anise, floral hops, smoke and a bit of fruit. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.
