Bottle Pours a light golden amber with a decent white head that slowly dissipates leaving modest lacing. Aroma is of a very light lager or heffeweizen with only a trace evidence of any apricots that may be in there. Much more flavorfull however witha nice fairly sweet apricot/apple taste. Slightly on the sweet side but very drinkable esp as the ABV is quite low. My 3rd Lambic of the night and only the Lindemans are better so far. A little more apricot flavor would have been nice. Met my expectations however. Finish is smooth, soft carbonation and a faint fruity aftertaste. Not Bad

A dark yellow beer with a fine though disappering white head. The aroma is dominated by peach and fruit and is sweet and somewhat artificial, not a beer aroma. The flavor is sweet dominated by peach and rather artificial though with woody notes. It has no hints of the wild fermentation.

Straw colored, moderate lacing, high carbonation - yeasty aroma, with a general fruitiness that I probably wouldn't identify as apricot if I didn't know what it was supposed to be - the same can be said of the flavor, generally fruity - a sweet/tart combination very much like a cider, but a grainy malt character lets you know it's a beer - crisp and delicate - well-balanced considering the fact that tart and sweet are two characteristics that are easy to get out of whack - not my thing, but recommended for those who like the style. (loses some points for the $7 price - sorry, it's not worth that much)

Old gold colour, clear; (white) head, nearly immediately gone. Nose of concentrated apricot, as in "crème de.." or apricot filling. Again, as in the strawberry, it has an alcoholic character. Weird. No other aroma's. Apricot filling in the taste again, with a burning mouth sensation. Acids? Fruit concentrate?? No possible reminiscence of Cantillon FouFoune. Empty finish, a bit dry. Overall, the most disappointing of the 3 Melbournes. Not a lambic in any way. Actually most like expected...

Updated rating: Dark yellow gold, no head. Aroma of sweet white wine and apricots, plus other light fruitiness. Very light, spicy hop aroma. Lightly fizzy, tart, puckering in the mouth. Winey. Otherwise clean. Interesting British spontaneously fermented beer. Very different than the lambic wild yeasts - tart, but clean, no weird esters. Has a light bitterness, though barely detectable, really keeps this sweet beer from being cloying.

A little English lambic for you. Apricot is the better of the two - fruity, winey on the nose, and a dry, slightly sour palate showing the sweetness of apricot and tartness of wheat and spontaneous fermentation.
