Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy beige head that lingered forever and left excellent lacing. The aroma was dryish, malry, a bit roasty and doughy. The flavor was roasty, malty and toasty with a touch of coffee. Long finish. Medium body.

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown color with a medium thick beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Roast malt, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Light to medium body with a roasty malt and coffee character, with some cocoa in the background. The finish is sweet with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
