Sampled on draft at Hugo's this mead poured a very dark golden color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was yeasty with watermelon candy. The flavor was tangy and sweet with watermelon, yeast, tannin and a bit of medicine. Long finish with growing tannin. Medium body.

On tap at Hopcat Minneapolis. Pours a clear pale straw yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma has sweet watermelon that has a bit of a candy note with a bit of honey underlying. Flavor has notes of candied watermelon with licorice and dry honey backing.
