Sample at the Columbus taproom during the "4 Year Anniversary Party" on 06/30/2018. Dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, hops and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate and citrusy hops. The finish is hoppy up front with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a large foamy tan head. The aroma was strong cocoa powder and anise. The flavor was bitter and roasty with coffee, cocoa, floral hops and anise. Long cocoa and floral hop finish. Medium body.
