Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty coke and earth aroma with liquorice notes. Dry-sweet mealy licorice taste with earthy roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty salmiak licorice aftertaste with spicy dusty notes. Elegant, balanced, harmonic, and very drinkable. A very good beer. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly. Rated twice, then averaged.)

0.5l bottle. This one pours a dark brown body with a gigantic bubbly and almost fluffy-creamy chocolate head. Looks quite amazing in the glass. Aroma has lots of roasted malts, heavy on the wheat, sweet caramel, some cardboard and chocolate hints with lots of tobacco smoke in the end. Really nice. Soft carbonation, full-bodied and it has a fantastic velvety and creamy mouthfeel! Imagine the first time you tried a Guinness after drinking pale lagers all your life. It feels really creamy, rich and smooth. Roasted chocolate malts, some thin coffee, caramel, wheat/oat, more light cardboard and in the finish it's almost like you have mixed a thick and creamy chocolate milkshake with a stout. Lasting chocolate paper finish. Good stuff this!

Bottle. This is how good beer tastes! Pours dark brown/black with a creamy and lasting brown head. Aroma is smoke and roasted coffee beans, but wine and fruit is also present. The taste is well balanced between bitter and sweet. Body is creamy and smooth with soft carbonation. Finish is coffee, liquorice and dark chocolate, but there’s also hints of camp fire smoke. This is one of my absolute favorites.

500 ml bottle, from Dagli’brugsen Skødstrup. ABV is 6.5%. Some sediment in the bottle. Black colour, large brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, bonfires and smoked meat. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has notes of mild coffee and smoked meat, a touch of fruit and chocolate in the finish. Hints of liquorice in the aftertaste, but only after a while. Decent stuff, but maybe a bit too much smoked malts for an otherwise smooth and tender stout.

0,5 l.bottle from the supermarket. A jet-black beer, that lets no light through with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet and roasted almost in bacon style, but also with notes of wheat and straw - a mixture of a stout and a german weissbier, hence the wheat. The flavor is sweet malty with roasted malts, caramel, and wheat. Finish is likewise wheaty and roasted. This is a wheat stout, an unusal combination. Excellent price - taste ratio.
