Imperial Brown Porter with Virginia Honey. We found the best stuff we could find and made this thing. This thing has great stuff and the most stuff we’ve used in a while. We totally stuffed this thing with stuff. Tons of notes of dark chocolate, blonde roast coffee, candied pecan, and of course honey. We added 60 lbs of dark Virginia honey to this beer to compliment all the deep toasted malts. This thing drinks smooth and a bit dry like a good porter should, but with all the good stuff in it, it has a great mouthfeel and satisfying finish. If you love browns, porters, or dark beers in general, this will hit the spot.

Sampled on draft at Amber Ox this beer poured a red-brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, cocoa, a hint of coffee and nut. The flavor was toasty and woody with mixed nuts, dark fruit, cocoa and coffee. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied.
